terms of service for powder and pin
To secure a wedding day booking with us we require a deposit in order to reserve the date and time of your booking. confirmation of a dates availability does not mean your booking is confirmed and we cannot reserve a date until a full deposit payment has been paid and we have received this.
Upon arranging a trial date with us we require a deposit of £25 to secure the appointment. Once a deposit payment has been received for a trial (£25) this will then secure both dates - the trial and your wedding day - in the diary with us. After the trial a further deposit of £50 (or 20% of the total amount on the wedding day) is required within one week of the trial date which must be paid if you would like to proceed to further secure the wedding day and ensure your date is secure.
Please note trials are a no obligation appointment and are paid for separately as a stand alone appointment. Our method of booking whereby you have a one week time period to further secure your wedding day with us following the trial ensures the trial is no obligation.
Failure to pay the further £50 deposit within one week of the trial date means that we can release the wedding date for another party to book although we will confirm this with you by email before we do this to give everyone a fair chance and in some cases we may reserve the date for an extended time at our discretion.
Once a deposit has been paid this secures your wedding date so that no one else can book. All deposit payments are non-refundable and cannot be returned. Where possible if the client changes the date of a booking or appointment we will try to allocate the deposit to another date although this can not be guaranteed.
By paying a deposit you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions and the following terms written on this page.
Please note as we are a mobile team of stylists trial appointments are on a mobile basis only and must take place in East or West Sussex. Where circumstances do not allow this we may be able to hire a make up studio for the appointment at an additional hire fee of £25.
Bridal trials are between 2 - 2.5 hours long and anything more than this will be charged at a rate of £30 per half hour. If we have another appointment after you our stylists may suggest to book another trial in for another date.
It is our advice to book a trial in as early as possible so that a date is in the diary. For bookings where the client has paid a deposit to secure a wedding date although hasn't booked a trial we cannot make any guarantees that a particular trial date will be available. We always aim to be as accommodating as possible when booking in trials although if you require a Saturday appointment these must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment as we get booked up very early.
Minimum Booking Amounts
During peak season (April to October) of any year a minimum booking fee for weddings may be set for any reservation made with us at the time of booking. These respective amounts will be explained to you upon booking and must be upheld if you wish to keep a booking with us. Any stylist or employee of Powder and Pin reserve the right to terminate agreements of an appointment or booking if failure to comply with the minimum amount arises.
Payment for an appointment must be made in full by the client before or during an appointment with us. We reserve the right to cancel any appointment where funds have not been paid within these requests and if late payment occurs we may add on an additional admin fee to compensate for this.
Payments for bridal parties or large groups must be paid in full in one lump sum amount. We cannot accept different sums of payments from different people within the same booking so kindly ask that payment comes from just one account.
For hair and make up procedures the client is required to inform the hair or make up artist of any allergies they are aware of before the application of any make up. Each stylist is individually and professionally responsible for their own consultation and by booking with Powder and Pin you constitute that all of the questions asked of you relating to any medical history are correctly answered and the statements provided are correct and true to the best of your knowledge. You therefore give your consent and permission to the make up artist to perform the procedure discussed using the make up and/or products of their choice and will consent to not hold the stylist liable for any adverse reaction to the make up or procedure today or any date in the future.
To secure a hen party booking with us for any of our packages offered a £50 deposit is required to confirm the date and time of your booking. The deposit must be paid by bank transfer and once this has been paid the remaining balance is due anytime between the date of booking up until 14 days before the hen party, with the understanding that full payment must reach our account before the hen party takes place.
We understand that numbers can change between the time of booking a hen party and the actual date which is why we are flexible with numbers upon booking. With this in mind we do however require numbers to be confirmed two weeks before the hen party, before the final balance has been paid, so that we can arrange for the respective stylists and/or materials to be booked and organised in due time.
Once a final payment has been paid for a hen party we do not offer refunds so please ensure before making payment that everyone is confirmed and agreed to what they are booking.
Payments for hen parties or large groups must be paid in full in one lump sum amount. We cannot accept different sums of payments from different people within the same booking so kindly ask that payment comes from just one account.
